Terms of Service
Updated January 27, 2026
By using cDox, you agree to the terms below. They exist to set clear expectations and to protect both you and us. We're trying to build a safe, respectful place to write and share documents, and these rules are non-negotiable.
Use of the service
cDox provides tools for creating, storing, and sharing documents. You may use the service for lawful purposes only. You are responsible for the content you create, upload, or share, and for how you choose to use the platform.
Your content
Your content is yours. You retain full ownership of all documents you create or upload to cDox. We do not claim any rights to your work beyond what is necessary to store it, display it to you or people you share it with, and operate the service.
Acceptable use
We have clear principles about what is not allowed on cDox. The service may not be used to create, store, or share content that includes hate speech, harassment, threats, violence, sexual exploitation, child sexual abuse material, or any other illegal or harmful content.
If we determine that an account is being used in violation of these principles, the account will be terminated immediately. There is no warning process, no appeal, and no negotiation in these cases. We are not interested in hosting harmful content or bad actors, full stop.
You also agree not to misuse the service in technical ways, including attempting to disrupt cDox, reverse engineer the platform, compromise infrastructure, or interfere with other users.
Availability
We work hard to keep cDox reliable and available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates, or unexpected outages may occur.
Termination
You may stop using cDox at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated or if required by law. If your account is terminated for reasons other than serious misuse, you may request deletion of your data in accordance with our privacy policy.
Liability
cDox is provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from use of the service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the applicable laws of the Province of Quebec.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of cDox after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
If something here feels unclear, you can reach us through the contact form in the footer or the help page when you're logged in. We believe terms should be understandable and explicit, not buried in legal language.
