Keyboard Shortcuts

Every shortcut available in sheets.

Navigation

You can navigate the entire grid from your keyboard without ever touching the mouse.

Shortcut	Action
`Arrow keys`	Move between cells
`Tab`	Next cell (adds a column at the end)
`Shift`+ `Tab`	Previous cell
`Enter`	Move down a row (adds rows at the end)
`Escape`	Deselect everything

Editing

Shortcut	Action
`Enter`	Start editing the active cell
Start typing	Replaces content and enters edit mode
`Delete` / `Backspace`	Clear cell or selection content
`Escape`	Cancel current edit

Tip

The difference between pressing Enter and just typing matters. Enter puts you in edit mode and keeps the existing content so you can modify it. Just typing replaces whatever was there.

Selection

Select a column	Click the column letter

Clipboard

Undo and redo

Shortcut	Action
`Cmd`+ `Z`	Undo (up to 50 actions per tab)
`Cmd`+ `Shift`+ `Z`	Redo

Note

Each tab has its own undo history. Switching tabs doesn't lose your history — you can switch back and undo previous actions.
